Needed a new part. Also checked entire system for problems/no other problems found.Postell came the NEXT day to service our air conditioner. They had to drive to N. Charleston to pick up a part and completed the whole project within two hours. Very nice young men who were professional. I definitely will use them again. Replaced heat pump for upstairs. Two heat pumps replaced by another local firm approximately 12 years ago. The upstairs unit started leaking freon over a year ago. Twice the installer came out and added freon at a charge of >$200, but never went into the attic to look for a leak. The most recent time was 3 months ago and his service call lasted no more than 10 min. The system stopped working on Friday, 8/16/10. I decided to call a different company for service and selected Postell's based on the Angies List reviews. I called on Friday night to leave a message and was surprised when George Postell answered. Since we are very close to his home, he volunteered to waive the weekend charge and came out on Saturday. He inspected the system thoroughly and showed me the corroded coils in the attic unit. He explained the repair options and gave approximate prices for the repair and options on new units. I elected to go with a new unit that qualified for the tax credit. He was able to get quotes on available units on Sunday and called me Sunday night with a quote for a 15 seer tax credit qualified system. We agreed on the price and scheduled the installation for 8:30 AM the next morning. He came in with a very professional crew and had the unit installed and running by 2 PM. We could not have been more pleased with the results. A very small point, but an indication of a customer focused organization: George insisted on removing his shoes before coming into the house, and also had his crew do the same. When they finished they cleaned up thoroughly, and even volunteered to vacuum the house. This was a huge contrast to the experience we have had with the other local firm, which we have been using for 17 years. Lightning struck my A/C compressor and destroyed the dual capacitor. Postell's came out on a Sunday evening, had the replacement part in the van , and fixed the compressor within an hour. We had accepted the emergency rate, and were grateful to have our AC fixed. I was heading out on a fishing trip the next day, leaving my wife and 2 year old home.
